Orders & Shipping
If you want your order gift wrapped, you may purchase Alex Mill gift wrapping for $6 at check-out.
Gifts are shipped in Alex Mill tissue paper and packaged inside a one-of-a-kind Alex Mill laundry bag. The laundry bags are unique pieces made entirely from Alex Mill's vintage textiles. The prints on the laundry bags will vary and cannot be changed.
Note: gift wrapping is not eligible for discount, return, exchange, or reimbursement.
Once your order has been placed, we immediately send a confirmation email. We will follow up with the shipping notification and tracking number when your order is fulfilled.
You can also use our chat feature (found in the lower right corner of this window) to review all of your orders.
If you see an error in your shipping address or want to modify/cancel your order, please email [email protected] as soon as possible, and we'll try our best to help.
We fulfill our orders as quickly as possible and cannot promise that we'll be able to stop your package from being sent out in time to change the address or cancel.
We offer free shipping on orders above $200.

All orders ship within 2-3 business days of the order date. Once your order ships, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.

*Expedited orders will ship same-day if the order is placed before 10am EST on a normal business day. Orders placed after 10am EST, on a weekend or holiday will be shipped out on the next business day.
We ship via UPS for domestic shipments, DHL Express for International shipments, and USPS for all Military, APO, FPO, and PO Box shipments.
Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns for a full refund within 21 days from the date the items are delivered. Refunds are only permitted for full-price items. Purchases with applied welcome discount codes are eligible for return or exchange. Sale or promotional items cannot be refunded or exchanged.
All returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and undamaged with intact original tags. We reserve the right to refuse a return that does not comply with the above conditions.
In the case of items received incorrectly or received in damaged or faulty condition, you will need to notify us as soon as possible at [email protected]. Once your return is received, it will undergo a quality review. Please allow up to 3 full business days for this to be completed. Once items have passed inspection, the refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method within 2-3 business days (subject to your bank's processing time).

There will be a $9 flat-rate fee per return package deducted from your refund. This fee is waived for exchanges.
There are no fees for returns and exchanges made in any of our shops.
All international purchases (outside the United States, including Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories) are final sales and are not eligible for return or exchanges. Don't hesitate to get in touch with [email protected] for specific requests.

Yes, we're happy to make return arrangements for items received as gifts (excluding final sale items)! Once we receive the return, we will send you an e-gift card to your email. The gift card will not expire.

Yes! We currently ship worldwide. You'll be able to switch to your country's currency on the top right corner of the website.
Shipping rates are calculated based on delivery method, location, and carrier at checkout.
International taxes, border clearance fees, tariffs, and value-added tax (VAT) will be calculated into your final order total during checkout. They are based on the individual product's country of origin and the classification of that merchandise and calculated by our shipper per the destination country's tax regulations. No further fees will be charged at the time of delivery. Please note that some countries and territories have taxes and duties charged upon delivery. See below section for countries and territories excluded from all-inclusive pricing.
Note: international taxes, border clearance fees, tariffs, and value-added tax (VAT) are non-refundable. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly.

How to Wash
Our first rule of thumb: Wash only when necessary! Use non-toxic detergents to protect your fabrics—chemicals break down natural fibers over time and contribute to visible wear on your garments. For bonus points, add a Cora ball (AKA a microfiber-collecting laundry ball) to the washing machine to catch plastic particles before they escape into our waterways. Avoid fabric softeners as they also contribute to fabric deterioration and are comprised of chemicals that do some pretty nasty things to the environment.
How to Dry
While you can toss most of our designs in the dryer, we encourage you to line dry or to tumble dry at a very low temperature. This saves energy and protects the fibers in your garments (particularly important for preserving rich, deep colors). Add a wool dryer ball, or even a tennis ball, to speed up the drying process and use less energy. If you want to add essential oils at this stage, it’s a quick way to infuse a scent you love.
When to Dry Clean
Our designs can be cared for at home as we know nobody likes to dry clean—we don’t want our customers to have to! Many times “Dry Clean Only” on a label reflects construction that can’t hold up to a wash. If you decide to dry clean your clothes, we recommend a place that does not use the toxic chemical PERC (it’s been linked to all sorts of not-so-great side effects). Many dry cleaners have eradicated this toxin from their process but it is still used so make sure to ask.
How to Repair
We select fabrics, finishings and construction methods so our garments will last a long time. Snags, tears and any specific issues should simply be repaired! We encourage you to work with a tailor in your area that can handle these—and please contact us directly if you have any specific questions as they pertain to repair.
Payments & Discounts
We will honor a one-time price adjustment on full-price merchandise within seven days of the purchase date. Note: an item's exact style and size must be in stock to be eligible for a price adjustment.
Price adjustments are only offered in the form of merchandise credit.
Final sale items are not eligible for price adjustments.
Yes! We offer gift cards in both physical and digital forms. Both can be redeemed in-store or online with the unique code on the physical gift card or in the email you receive with the digital gift card. Our gift cards never expire.
Physical gift cards are only available when purchased in-store.
Digital gift cards are sent upon purchase directly to the email address you used at checkout.
Sales tax will not be applied to gift card purchases. If other merchandise is included in your order, tax will apply only to those items.
Coupons and discounts cannot be applied to gift card purchases. Gift cards are non-refundable and can only be redeemed online and in-store.
Note: Gift cards are not currently supported by international customers.
